Join Now!Good morning, DayOne community. The weekend has arrived, and hopefully you’ll be able to grab some downtime over the next couple of days and get stuck into some games. Will you be checking out Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4? Let’s see what the team have been up to this week, then you can vote in our poll further down to let us know what you are playing this weekend.
Gyozo (FairyEmpire):
“As you may have seen, my week (my last 2 weeks, in fact) were absolutely dominated by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. I played through the campaign, played a ton of DMZ, tested the game on 3 different platforms, interviewed four developers and wrote a total combined 14k+ words about it all. That was a lot of work, for sure, but I didn’t mind any of it – I feel like our team has done a lovely job covering the ins and outs of the game. Be sure to check out our complete review of Modern Warfare 4 here!“
Joe (TheCucumbo):
“This week I’ve all in on the excellent campaign for Modern Warfare 4, which has been suitably bombastic and high budget. I have always been more of a Black Ops fan so its been nice to finally ‘get’ this sub series.
I’m also hyped to finally spend the weekend in DMZ and multiplayer as so far it has been a great package that has gotten me hooked on the franchise again after burning out a little last year.
Other than Call of Duty, I’ve been playing a few titles I can’t talk about yet but looking forward to sharing more next week.
Have a great weekend!”
Aarsal (SoulBlazerz):
“I return! So with two reviews of mine going up this week, I can finally talk about what I’ve been playing lately that isn’t just Control Resonant. Namely, I’ve been playing both Stupid Never Dies, a PS5 and PC exclusive, and Final Fantasy Resonance!.
You can read my full thoughts on both of those games in my reviews, but here’s a quick look. Stupid Never Dies is fun, and I really like the changes it makes to the roguelike genre. I know, I know, plenty of people read “roguelike” and instantly nope away, but this one is worth another look. I think the game works better because of it too, as if it was just another typical third person action game, it would have gotten lost in the mix. The combat isn’t always the smoothest, but that’s something I hope can be smoothed out a bit through patches.
Now Final Fantasy Resonance, this game is fantastic. A must play for fans of the franchise and the genre, or both. It’s a game that refines the traditional turn based formula without evolving it completely, and in the process it becomes a reminder that the formula lasted decades for a reason.”
Now it’s time to hear from you – we love hearing from the community, so vote in the poll below!
Have a lovely weekend, whatever you are doing, and we’ll see you next week as usual.
