Under Mythos announced for Nintendo Switch

Kadath, the studio founded by Yoichi Miyaji, producer of the acclaimed Lunar RPG series, has just announced a new game for Nintendo Switch. Under Mythos, the developer’s debut title, is set to launch on the console in 2028.

Under Mythos is described as a dark fantasy RPG set in a world on the brink of madness. Amid all of this, however, there’s a mysterious hot spring inn where the inhabitants of this strange realm come to rest and relax.

Under Mythos, KADATH’s first project, brings together creators whose credits include some of Japan’s most recognized game titles and series, including Pokemon, Tales of the Abyss, GRANDIA, and LUNAR. The game is a dark fantasy JRPG centered on peaceful days spent welcoming guests at a mysterious hot spring inn and dungeon expeditions in search of food and resources, as the world gradually descends into madness.

Story

A lone cat wanders into another world in search of Mother.

There, the cat discovers a mysterious hot spring inn where the inhabitants of this strange realm come to rest and relax.

Hoping to be reunited with Mother, the cat begins working at the inn, spending peaceful days welcoming and caring for its guests.

But an unpredictable disturbance was already creeping into that everyday life.
