A brand-new snippet of Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay has been shown in South Park, with Rockstar Games also confirming some updates for police.
If you’ve been locked into the newest season of South Park, then you’re well aware of the fact that there have been multiple references to GTA 6 along the way. It has shown up in advertisements at the mall and the game has been mentioned by different characters.
Yet, in the October 28 episode – Guinea Pig On A Stick – things took another step forward. This time around, characters were shown a sneak peek of actual GTA 6 gameplay.
In the small snippet, Jason can be seen walking down Vice City beach, picking up dog poop, and then attacking NPCs with it. This was confirmed as an option back in August, but this is the first look at it in action.
GTA 6’s police will have K9 units
Additionally, Rockstar Games have also confirmed that police will also level up in the new game – should you start dishing out dog poo attacks.
Speaking to Edge magazine, Rockstar’s Rob Nelson noted that police now have K9 Units that will chase you down. In one gameplay demo shown to Edge, the police dogs managed to pin Jason down following a brief chase.
Additionally, they will also utilize spike strips during chases. Stinger strips have been a part of every GTA game, with the exception of San Andreas, and are typically easy to avoid.
Police will be smarter in GTA 6.However, as per Edge’s report, the spike strips are “almost invisible” in nighttime scenarios, and appear to be an instant shutdown of your vehicle – rather than just slowing you down.
Upgrades to the police have long been rumored for GTA 6, with Rockstar confirming that they’ve revamped things.
