Destiny Child Is a Survivor, Returns as New Mobile Idle RPG Destiny Child

Destiny Child is making a comeback following the original mobile RPG’s shutdown in 2023. Com2uS has announced Destiny Child: Assemble, a new idle RPG developed by its subsidiary TikiTaka Studio. The game is scheduled to launch globally on iOS and Android in the first half of 2027.

Originally developed by Shift Up, the studio behind Stellar Blade and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Destiny Child launched in 2016 and became known for its Live2D character artwork and extensive roster of over 500 characters. The game ended service in September 2023, making Destiny Child: Assemble the franchise’s first new game since its closure. The announcement also coincides with the series’ 10th anniversary.

Unlike the original RPG, Destiny Child: Assemble will adopt an idle RPG format while retaining the original game’s setting and story. Players can expect returning scenarios and side stories alongside new narrative content. Individual character stories will also be tied to the collection and progression systems, although specific gameplay mechanics have not yet been detailed.

The Assemble subtitle refers to the Archfiend candidates from the original game gathering once again. Com2uS will handle the game’s global publishing, while TikiTaka Studio is responsible for development.

An official teaser website has also opened alongside a new teaser video. The footage features the Resurrection Flower, an object from the original game’s lore associated with bringing life back. Additional information about the project will be shared through its official website and social media channels.
