CONTROL Resonant Surpasses 1 Million Copies Sold, Becomes Remedy’s

Remedy Entertainment took to social media today to let everyone know that CONTROL Resonant, the latest game in the CONTROL franchise, has been making a killing and has surpassed 1 million copies sold since it was released on September 24, 2026.

That’s just a few weeks ago, so seeing it hit this milestone so quickly is damned good. Even better for Remedy, CONTROL Resonant is now the fastest-selling game in the company’s history, surpassing the pace of Alan Wake 2.

I’m glad for them. During Summer Game Fest 2026, I mentioned to Remedy that I felt they definitely had a hit on their hands with CONTROL Resonant. Turns out I wasn’t wrong, with gamers taking a liking to the game and already asking what comes next after finishing it. Especially since there was some initial frustration about the game swapping siblings and doing away with the ranged gameplay from the first game. But once everyone took control of Dylan and his melee-fused gameplay, they fell in love with the game.

We enjoyed it quite a bit ourselves, as well. In our CONTROL Resonant review, Jordan awarded the game a 4.5 out of 5, praising its combat, traversal, Dylan’s development, and Remedy’s continued ability to create some seriously strange and memorable worlds.

These last few years haven’t always been kind to Remedy Entertainment, despite the studio putting out several amazing games, including the original CONTROL and Alan Wake 2. Then there was the rare miss with FBC: Firebreak, which didn’t exactly work out the way Remedy had hoped.

Despite that, the company has maintained an amazing track record, so seeing Remedy finally getting the kind of commercial success its games deserve is a great win for the studio.

Now, we wait to see what Remedy has up its sleeve for the follow-up act, with that hopefully being dragging us further into the Supernatural world of CONTROL.
